About Topic

The adoption of the Paris Agreement, the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, and the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration has created huge opportunities for the attainment of sustainable use and management of the tropical forests through the REDD+ mechanism. This seminar will discuss the increasing availability of green financing for the implementation of the REDD+ project by activities in developing countries and the how to develop the innovative REDD+/Forestry Project that can achieve multiple objectives from local livelihood improvement, carbon emission reductions or removals, to safeguarding the socioeconomics and biodiversity.

This lecture will be delivered by Ladaporn Khunikakorn, a Regional Director for Projects in Southeast Asia. She has extensive project development and funding experiences in carbon and forestry projects. It is open to anyone who is interested in green financing in forestry and related projects.
