Interview: Overseas Students Give the Thumbs Up to AIT’s Organizational Quarantine

During the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, any person who qualifies to enter Thailand must undergo a 14-day period of self-quarantine. Since September 2020, AIT has been accommodating incoming overseas students’ entry into the country at its official Organizational Quarantine (OQ) facility. As of 1 January 2021, 143 students had taken advantage of the OQ. The Gazette spoke to some students about their experiences.

Urban Environmental Management program is being transformed to Urban Innovation and Sustainability for August 2021 semester intake

Department of Development and Sustainability, AIT, Thailand would like to inform you that the Urban Environmental Management (UEM) program will be transformed to Urban Innovation and Sustainability (UIS) program for August 2021 semester intake. Thus, the students who apply to UEM will be transferred to UIS automatically. For those who want to apply to UEM, kindly to apply UIS.

Prof Nophea Sasaki speaks with People’s Daily, China on global biodiversity initiative

When the United Nations hosted the first ever UN Biodiversity Summit at the 75th General Assembly on 30 September 2020, over 100 world leaders gathered virtually in New York to mobilize for action to stem the decline of the planet’s biodiversity.

The goal is to build political momentum for the Conference of the Parties (COP15) of the UN Convention on Biodiversity scheduled in May 2021 in Kunming, China, where countries will agree to an ambitious plan of action on biodiversity.
