Background
The outbreak of the COVID-19 warns us about the consequences of irresponsible development and overexploitation of the natural resources. These unsolved problems need to be solved through knowledge, skills, innovation, and technologies. The Sustainability Hackathon 2020 is the 2nd Hackathon organized by the Department of Development and Sustainability, AIT. This year of the COVID-19 outbreak, we aim to achieve sustainability solutions to address the problems of Sustainability Living in the Face of Coronavirus from any aspect of development. The proposed solution (s) needs to relate to at least three SDGs.
Challenges to Hack
- Knowing that we are facing the problems of climate change, overexploitation of natural resources, poverty, gender inequality, urbanization, and pandemic.
- Knowing that SDGs could open up US$12 trillion of market opportunities and create 380 million new jobs, and actions on climate change would result in savings of about US$26 trillion by 2030.
- Those who take up the challenge to change the world for the better, please propose a solution (s) that can solve any of the above problems using a combination of your skills, technologies, and the above impact market opportunities.
