Canada- Myanmar IDRC Fellowship 2023 for Gender and Development Studies

Canada-Myanmar IDRC Fellowship is funded under the Knowledge for Democracy- Myanmar Initiative by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) in partnership with Global Affairs Canada.

Application Deadline for January 2023 Intake: December 1st, 2022

Application Deadline for August 2023 Intake: May 1st, 2023

For both certificate program and one-year master’s program scholarship, applicants need to apply for the Gender and Development Studies (GDS) under the Department of Development and Sustainability, School of Environment, Resources and Development to be eligible for this scholarship. Please select your academic program carefully when applying for the admission AIT system.

Recruitment of IDRC Research Chair on Gender and Forced Displacement in Asia

Asian Institute of Technology is currently recruiting a Research Chair who would be serving as a research leader on Gender and Forced Displacement in Asia and start up and lead a Center for the same purpose at AIT. The project is supported by IDRC Canada.

Meeting with the Canadian Embassy

The three certificate students, who completed their study in May 2021, met with Ms. Maria C. Ramirez Serrano, the first secretary (cooperation) of the Embassy of Canada in Yangon, Myanmar by zoom on 18 May 2021. The students shared their experience at AIT with Ms. Serrano.
