Dr.Mokbul Morshed Ahmad Promoted to Full Professor Rank

Department of Development and Sustainability would like to Congratulate Dr.Mokbul Morshed Ahmad for being promoted from the rank of Associate Professor to Full Professor, following the approval of the Board of the Trustees at its meeting held on the 25th of January 2022. We wish him every success in his career.

Dr. Ahmad joined AIT as an Assistant Professor in the School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD) in 2005 and was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in 2010. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Department of Civil Geography of the University of Durham, UK in 2000. Dr. Ahmad earned his Master of Science in Rural and Regional Development Planning from the Asian Institute of Technology and his Master of Science in Geography from Dhaka University, Bangladesh in 1993 and 1991, respectively. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from Dhaka University, Bangladesh in 1989. Dr. Ahmad’s research encompasses the areas of development studies, rural development, Non- Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and adaptation to climate change.
