DDS Students attended the summer program at Tongji University, Shanghai, China
DDS students have many opportunities to participate in exchange programs with other universities. (See DPMM Students participated in the International Summer School)
In August 2019, DDS students attended the summer program at Tongji University, Shanghai, China, under the theme of “Sustainable Urban and Rural Development”.
More than 30 students from over eight countries participated in this program under the theme of “Sustainable Urban and Rural Development” from 21 – 30 August 2019. The program was designed to allow students to learn a variety of issues in China, through field trips around Tongji University campus as well as afar.
During the program, DDS students made a presentation to share about their countries’ situations.
Ms. Megha Bajaj (NRM, Master’s student) made a presentation entitled “Cultural Heritages of Nepal”. As the theme of the summer school was Sustainable Urban and Rural Development, with different lectures and cross-cutting issues around. She focused on architectures and rich cultural history of my country Nepal, linking with the urbanization, haphazard growth and sustainable development.
Ms. Chitralada Chaiya (RRDP Ph.D. Candidate) made a presentation entitled “Thailand: Past Present, and Future” focusing on sustainable development issues based on an analysis of national development plan.
Ms. Nichcharat Rungruang (RRDP, Master’s student) made a presentation entitled “Sustainable Agriculture”.
